It happens far too often that you find an amzing website at home and want to show it to all your friends at school - only to find it has been blocked. Here i will show you three simple ways that will open the full world wide web up to you. However, take this advice: Getting caught on a naughty website will get you in a lot more trouble than if you were caught on a games website, for example.
Here are some of the most commonly used websites that are usually blocked but i have unblocked for you:
NOTE - YOU MAY BE REDIRECTED TO ANOTHER SITE. SIMPLY ENTER THE URL YOU WANT INTO THE BOX ON THE SITE
Anonymous filters are probably the easiest way of bypassing school web filters. Basically, they allow you to access the website pretending to be a completely different computer - allowing you to view it!
To use a proxy filter, simply type the URL (address) of the website you're after into the bar on the page, and away you go! Below are a number of the top proxy filters.
NOTE - THESE SITES MAY ALREADY BE BLOCKED, THEREFORE, NEXT TO EACH SITE, I HAVE PUT THE ADDRESS OF THE SITE WHEN IT IS RUN THROUGH ITS OWN UNBLOCKER. IF THE ORIGINAL SITE (IN BLUE) DOESN'T WORK, TRY THE UNBLOCKED ONE (IN RED).
This does not work on all websites or blockers, but it's always worth a try. Simply erase the www. (including the "dot") and replace it with https://
For example - www.google.com will become https://google.com
Method 3: Enter the IP address of the website
This is a great way to dodge the web filters and works 99% of the time. The difficult thing is getting the IP address itself. The IP address is a code for a website, and you can put that in instead. For example, www.google.com has an IP address of 209.85.135.147 - try copying and pasting this into the address bar - it takes you to.....google!. This will work for any website that has a www. at the beginning (http is more secure and the IP is not found so easily), but like i said, its getting the IP address that is the problem.
Here is how you do it:
Select one of the websites below. I have already unblocked them so you should be ok in the unlikely event they are blocked. Then, simply type your website's address, and click go! then, copy and paste the IP address it gives into your address bar, and hey presto! You're in!
Sometimes you will not be able to get the actual IP address because when you enter the website address into the IP lookup site, the school filters know what you are doing and stop you. If this happens, you will need to use another method obove. Otherwise, once you have the IP address (which you could get while at home first and write it down on some paper) it should definantely get around those pesky web filters!
